“ I ask your help and support for my sister, Leigh Harris, aka Little Queenie, who is undergoing intensive medical treatment for Stage IV cancer to the breast with metastasis to bone. Cancer has also been detected in her brain, lymph system and liver.
For those of you who know Leigh, you know she is reluctant to ask for help. But as independent and feisty as she is and always has been, she has reached this point of exhaustive fatigue and intense pain (7 to 10 every morning on a pain scale where 10 is the most pain you can experience).
She is under the care of Wake Forest Baptist in North Carolina and has recently received specialized brain surgery (gamma knife).
She is facing a long course of treatments for the other involved areas in the immediate future. Now that she’s undergone gamma knife, she will receive concurrent radiation and chemotherapies in sequence for each cancer.
Leigh recently agreed to my setting up a Go Fund Me account. In her heart she knows she can't do this alone without help.
Aside from the medical expenses, her day to day household bills accrue as she is unable to work while receiving treatment.
Every message of encouragement and/or donation that can post to this fundraising page is truly a gift of love and affirmation during her treatment.
