Our hearts are broken at the passing of Russ Fielding. We his cousins and family are hoping to raise some funds to help Russ’s boys , Caleb, Cory and Kelly , take care of their dad’s mortuary, burial and travel arrangements. Please help if you can.

My dad would’ve turned 68 today but the day before his birthday, I was informed that he had passed away in Utah. This was completely unexpected and without any warning. It is not the kind of news I wanted to hear, and It broke my heart. He was truly loved by family and friends from all over. I know he is looking down from Heaven and looking after his only granddaughter, Sophia. He loved her so much and couldn’t get enough of her. He was so proud of finally being a Grandpa and was looking forward to seeing her turn two this December. Even though he was a little rough around the edges and not everyone understood his sense of humor, he was a great man. During the thirty-four years of my life, he helped me in all kinds of ways, he was always there for me and raised me to be the man I am today. I can only hope that going forward, he will continue to be proud of me as I raise my family. He will be sorely missed by all. I’m so proud of you and I love you with all my heart Dad and May you Rest in Peace! Happy Heavenly Birthday!

As some of you may have heard already, we found out yesterday that my father, Russ Fielding, has passed away. It has been heartbreaking for everyone that was close with him. I am almost completely at a loss of words. I will miss his sarcasm (much more sarcastic than me), his DIY know-hows, and him always cheering me on from afar. He recently ran a 5k, further proving that at almost 70 years old, this old man was in better shape than me at 25. I will miss our talks, the hikes, and your love. Happy birthday pops, you will be sorely missed.
