Help Volunteer Bush Fire fighters in Australia
Donation protected
I am raising money to help train volunteer bush fire fighters in rural Australia as they daily put their lives in danger to fight the worst fires this country has seen in living memory.
A UK company has kindly donated £500,000 worth of emergency front line cooling equipment and Qantas kindly flew the kit down to Sydney from London free of charge.
The device when applied to a heat exhausted fire fighter reduces core body temperature from fatal to safe in a under an hour. This can mean the difference between life and death as having a high body temperature for too long leads to heat stroke and then sadly death.
We can stop this immediately but need a little help getting around to distribute the kit and train medics on its use.
