Running For Pat Stojevich

Hello Everyone,

I am raising money to help my uncle Patrick and his family.  The day before Thanksgiving, 2018; Patrick was diagnosed with end stage renal (kidney) failure.  His kidney function was at an astonishing 12%, reducing from 40% just in the spring of the same year.  Doctor's are quite unsure of why it had declined to quickly, but nonetheless, he was given a life changing diagnoses that day.

Patrick and his family, over the past year, have had surmounting medical bills from the costs of their insurance and its deductible.  Being the insurance carrier for a family of four, the annual costs for the insurance alone is extraordinary.  A lot falls on him to produce income for not only the family to live their daily lives, but to cover the medical costs.  On top of living with such low functioning kidney's.

The money raised will help pay his increasing medical bills and costs of living from this disease.

My uncle is a force of nature.  For the past 32 years he has volunteered as the event coordinator for etc Area 3 Special Olympics Trifecta event in Duluth, MN; he started "The Haunted Shack" in Duluth, MN to raise money so the Special Olympics could even be an event, that was 27 years ago!  In addition to the fundraising efforts of the Shack, he has raised 70,000 lbs of non-perishable food for food shelfs and 9,000 coasts for the "Kids For Coats" drive.  All fundraising efforts from this pay for the Special Olympics Trifecta event in full, with money to spare to support athletes further their career.

He has been a ski instructor for 34 years, a coach for 14 and is celebrating 50 years of skiing this year!  He also is the Custodial Engineer for the Diocese of Duluth; donating a good portion of his time, efforts and his own finances.

This is a man whom continues to amaze me in all of his efforts for his family and his community.  Its time, someone does something for him.

I have decided to run the 2020  Grandma's Marathon, which is now virtual.  I will be running on Saturday, June 27th on the Cannon Valley Trail from Cannon Falls to Red Wing.

As you are able, in any manner you can, the support you offer will greatly benefit Patrick and his family.
