Just over 12 months ago, Wesley was taken to hospital with what was thought to be just a really sore tummy. However, it wasn't long before doctors discovered a large cancerous tumour in his abdomen - the very cause of the pain he had been experiencing. For many of you who don’t know Wesley, he is a beautiful, energetic and funny boy. Since his diagnosis, he has undergone numerous, agressive treatments and is still fighting strong. Wesley is the youngest son (Lucas-10, Hamish-7, Wesley-4) of Simon and Prudence Wadds - two of the most dedicated, passionate and caring people you will ever meet, and whom Thalia and I have had the pleasure of being taught by for 15+ years.
Thalia and I will be running in the City2Surf this August, to show our support for our Warrior Wesley, and rally friends, family, school, work, church and the wider community together to help us raise funds, due to a loss of income, medical, travel and other expenses in this stressful and difficult time.
We would love for you to show your love and support by lifting up Wesley and his family in prayer and donating, so that they can focus on Wesley's treatment without the added burden of financial strain.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you in advance for your love and support,
Lelah & Thalia Broadstock
A little bit about us:
Thalia and I are sisters (20 & 18), who have been taught by Simon and Prudence Wadds for 15+ years. Funnily enough, between the two of us, we will also have a Primary and PDHPE teaching degree.
Thalia and I do just about everything together, and it was no different when it came to taking on this challenege to help make even the smallest difference in the life of the Wadds family.
