RUN FOR ROMAN: Parkinson’s Boxing

Hey everyone,

My name is Justin Figler, and I’m fundraising for my dad, Roman Figler, who is pictured on the far right of the cover photo.

My dad has been dealing with Parkinson’s for years now. After trying multiple treatments, my mom convinced my dad to try boxing at a local boxing gym that exclusively trains clients with Parkinson’s. Needless to say, my dad took to boxing quickly, and his results have been overwhelming.

Dean Eoannou, owner of Parkinson’s Boxing located in Kenmore, has built an incredible gym and community. Equipment is expensive, and the gym could use some new bags, exercise balls, etc.; so I’m trying to raise some money to help cover some of those expenses as they start to expand the business.

On September 1st, I’ll be running 4 miles every 4 hrs for 24hrs to honor my dad and the sacrifices he’s made for me and my family. I’ll be posting the runs on my [email redacted]ler if you want to follow along that day!

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for Dean and the community at Parkinson’s Boxing for all they’ve done for my dad and countless others. They continue to elevate the standard of care, and their commitment to improving the quality of life of their clients is nothing short of inspiring.
