Rudy’s Can’t Fail Cafe reopening fund

Hi,

I’m Douglas Smith, general manager of Rudy’s Can’t Fail Cafe. In August Rudy’s was permanently closed by the longtime ownership group after struggling to cover costs due to the pandemic related slow down.

Chef Lupe Rivera and former Rudy’s Oakland sous chef Nelson Ortiz stepped up and bought the business. I joined their new ownership group and together we plan to bring Rudy’s back to life to serve the East Bay community. But we need your help with the many start up costs to get Rudy’s serving up our great challah French toast, burgers, sandwiches and awesome milk shakes!

All funds donated will go directly to our operating costs. We will reopen serving breakfast and lunch featuring many of our customer favorite menu items.

We missed our customers and look forward to bringing Rudy’s comfort food back to you!
