Ruckus Retreat

Ruckus is an interdisciplinary creative retreat hosted at Buckland Hall in Wales from Thursday 30th August- Sunday 2nd September 2018 - recently we've had a promised £5000 of sponsorship withdrawn so we're turning to the community for help. 

The idea for Ruckus was born from conversations with other young creatives wanting an event that was community-driven, interactive, and non-hierarchical. Ruckus isn't about sitting silently in front of panels taking notes in a row- it's about creating, sharing, learning from each other, and making noise.

- Community driven event 
- Run by two queer creatives 
- Has offered 20% of its places as sponsored for marginalised people

As some of you know we've been working tirelessly over the last year to put together Ruckus Retreat. One of the things which had made this all possible was the promise for a £5000 sponsorship programme which gave us huge confidence on what services we'd be able to provide. Unfortunately, that sponsor has pulled out last minute leaving us with a £5000 excess a mere two weeks before the event.

Ruckus means everything to us, so under no circumstance will we be cancelling or postponing the event, it will still be going ahead - but as such we've had to look into scraping our savings and overdrafts as a last resort.

We're now looking for all the support we can get and would hugely appreciate any leads on potential sponsors looking to donate. We've also set up a crowdfunder that we'd love for people to share round - at this point, every little helps.
