Ruby’s New Liver

Meet Ruby. Ruby is 6 years old and full of life despite her illnesses. She was born with Biliary Atresia which means her liver is not functioning the way it should. Recently Ruby was diagnosed with Hepato-Pulmonary syndrome which means that because of her failing liver, her organs aren’t getting the vital oxygen they need. If left untreated her organs would begin to deteriorate and eventually fail. Ruby will need a liver transplant and has been placed on the transplant list. We are now waiting patiently and optimistically for the call saying our baby girl can get her new liver.

Ruby’s family are no strangers to waiting lists. Ruby was adopted from China when she was 2 years old. Since then she has brought immeasurable joy to our family and the lives of everyone she touches.

I am her mother. I created this go fund me account. I have created a savings account in her name to put the withdrawn money that has been donated. The money will be used on medical bills insurance does not cover as well as bills for our home while I’m not working to care for her, medications needed, staying in Indianapolis for 6 weeks.
