Ruby the fighter !!

Hi All

I'm setting up this page for my dear friend and Colleague Gail, who has two fabulous 3yr old idenitical twins called Evie and Ruby (Aka Ronnie & Reggie).

Ruby had been not well over the last month or so, with a high temperature, feeling tired, and generally under the weather, so Gail took Ruby to the doctors.  Several trips later, last Tuesday (23rd Jan)  Gail insisted that Ruby had a blood test.  Within hours Gail was given the news that Ruby had aneamia.

Skip forward 12 hours, and whilst Gail was at work (Looking after all the Logistics blokes at SuperDry) Gail was telephoned by the doctors, and asked to come in with Ruby for an emergency appointment.  Gail was obvsiouly very upset, and confused.

2 days later, Gail was given the devastating news that Ruby has Acute Lymphoblastic Luekeamia, and they were both transferred via Ambulance to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Ruby has got a very long journey ahead of her, which has started with having a bone marrow biopsy, a lumbar puncture, and a blood transfusion (this is all within a week of having a blood test).

Ruby needs to have intensive Chemotherapy, involving her staying in hospital for the whole treatment.  This treatment is due to start on Monday, where she will have a line fitted to allow for all medication to be given in the easiest way possible. Gail is sleeping by her side to support Ruby, which means she has to be apart from Evie, who is staying with her best friend, and amazing Aunt & Uncle.

As most of you know, Gail is a brilliant Mum, bringing the twins up on her own, whilst also working almost full time  for SuperDry logistics.

Wouldn't it be great to raise a bit money to allow Gail to take the twins away when all this awful treatment is over, or to be able to afford a car, so she can take Ruby to and from Hospital for her outpaitient appointments?

I know times are tough for everyone, but if the above has struck a chord (And to be fair anyone who is a parent would be effected by the above), then please please donate any spare cash you might have.

Thanks

Gill
