Funeral Costs for Ruben Ellard

On Saturday, September 1st, Coeur d'Alene lost one of the most dedicated and compassionate souls.

Ruben Ellard passed away from this Earth and heaven gained an angel. Ruben and his wife Sandy of 27 years have passionately care for Coeur d'Alene and have never asked for anything in return.

Those who know them see their love and joy resonate in their everyday lives and selfless service for those in our beautiful town. 

We are all heartbroken to have lost his radiant smile and daily laughter. He lit up every room with his barbershop quartet singing and deep heartfelt love for Coeur d'Alene. He was the most selfless man we have ever known. 

Sandy is left with funeral costs and personal expenses that we are trying to raise to help her in this hard time. As both Ruben and Sandy have endured many challenges, you can understand how confusing this is to her.

"Talk with most of the merchants on Sherman Avenue and they have Ruben and Sandy's cell phone programed into their phones. The couple pick up the trash on the street, they go to the bank or get lunch and just generally take care of the people who run the main street business.
