Rita’s Recovery

      Rita Kernodle is an incredible woman. She has spent her life helping and encouraging those in need. She has always been known as that independent, outgoing, strong willed woman that everyone loves. She now has had so much of that taken away in the blink of an eye. 

       On the morning of April 13th, 2019 Rita, at age 54 suffered a massive stroke that paralyzed the left side of her body. If this wasn’t enough of a life changing situation, Rita currently has no Health insurance. She has finally been released from the hospital and moved to a Rehabilitation Center. Rita went from working 2 part time jobs to be able to pay bills, to having 3 therapy session a day (speech, occupational and physical). Doctors have given her a year recovery time frame.

       We can’t possibly imagine both  the physical and financial pain that  Rita and her family are now going through.  And while we can’t help with the physical pain, I think we could make a substantial difference financially.
