Taking care of Dad

For everyone that knows our dad Mark, knows he is one amazing guy. He can do almost anything and helps everyone. He is the strongest guy we know. He's always good for a laugh, knows how to fix anything, and just an amazing husband/dad/papa/friend.
Our worlds were rocked several weeks ago when we found out that he has stage 3 rectal cancer. How is this possible? Our dad, sick??? But God is good and we know He will heal our dad's body.
Dad will receive 6 weeks of oral chemo and radiation. That will be followed by 8 weeks of rest before doing surgery to remove the tumor and effected lymph nodes. He will continue with oral chemo for some time after that. The next 12 months are going to be a battle for him.
Dad does so much. Simple things that you take for granted until your not feeling 100%. Basic lawn and snow removal will be a challenge. He does all the shopping. He cooks most meals so dinner is ready when Mom gets home from work.
He was working for a good company but had just left before finding this news out. His sickness had started to effect his ability to perform his job. Dad will not be able to work at all once he starts to feel the effects from his treatments.
First and foremost, we ask for prayers. God is listening and working already. We feel Him with us and Dad feels His strength.
If you feel the urge to give, that would be greatly appreciated. We want to take any financial stress off of them while Dad is focused on getting better.
Our Dad has touched so many lives. He has helped so many people. He has prayed for so many. If you know us, then Dad was maybe your coach, or substitute teacher. Maybe he was like a second Dad to you or a mentor. Maybe he is your friend dating back to when we were kids. Whatever he was to you, it's now his time to receive. We are sure that will be challenging for him because he loves to help.
