Royal Oak Forge Blacksmithing Academy

Having set up a small local business as a blacksmith, I now have the space and opportunity to expand into teaching my craft and skills to others. The goal is to set up a small academy of blacksmithing along side a shop that will stock hand made crafts from a number of local and uk crafters that graduated before the pandemic and are trying to practice their crafts.
The blacksmithing academy whilst educating both tourists on day trips and enthusiasts wanting to experience prolonged courses. Will also allow us to take on and train young individuals both blacksmithing and teaching skills, giving them the opportunity to make a strong career.
So far we have set up the initial workshop, acquired space and created a strong network of artists and makers to whom the shop will benefit.
We are now raising funds to get this dream off the ground.
all funds raised will be used to buy equipment and raw materials used to make tools, assemble teaching forges, kit out the shop and support relevant expenses.
Up on success in set up we would love to show our gratitude to those who help by offering hand made gifts and even free classes in the academy.
