Meet Coach Iyesha:
Iyesha Dozier founded the professional Royal Elite Dance Company in February 2019 from her own passion for dance. Iyesha grew up with dance all around her and began to find solace in it. Throughout her life she began to seek opportunities with dance through school plays, marching bands and community outreach programs. This seemed like second nature to her as her very own Mom (Wanda Dozier) was a Dance Mom!
After years of leading community dance teams, alongside her Mom, Iyesha decided to branch out and create a professional dance company which she named Royal Elite Dance Company.
Royal Elite's mission is to empower young girls through the art of dance. We are doing this by creating a safe space for our girls to grow, bond, create a sisterhood, become more confident, promote health and well-being and express themselves through dance.
I am from Newark, NJ and noticed that so many of our young girls were calling for a positive outlet in their neighborhood and Royal Elite answered the call.
Stay tuned as we are on the horizon and looking forward to putting Newark, NJ on the map as the professional dance team to beat.
