Crossfit Family and Friends,
This challenge is near and dear to our hearts because it will double as a fundraiser for two of our beloved members, Latrice "L" Thomas (5:30pm class) and Debra Ross (8am class). These two members were both recently diagnosed with breast cancer. All funds raised for this challenge will go directly to their medical expenses as they move forward with treatment.
Rowing for Boobs will be a team challenge in which you will row a total of 80,085 meters during the month of April. For those of you born after the use of old fashioned calculators this number spells boobs upside down on the screen. Haha.
Here are the guidelines and the prize for this challenge:
Up to four people per team
Teams do not have to be from the same box
Meters obtained during WODs do COUNT towards your total meters
The goal is to be the first team to reach 80,085 meters within the month of April
Email your accrued meters every week to [email redacted] so we can update the race!
A donation towards L and Debra's treatment fund is appreciated
The box has set a goal of $10,000 on Go Fund Me: www.gofundme.com/rowing-for-boobs, this is the website you will visit in order to make a donation for the cause, or feel free to make a cash donation at the gym in the Rowing for Boobs donation box. The first team to reach the 80,085 meter mark will receive $100 in box bucks for each team member to use as they see fit on protein, fit-aid, supplements t-shirts, membership etc!
