Round #2. Help Lt Nalls Kick Cancer AGAIN!

Donation protected
If you know them- you love them! And if you don't…trust me you would.
Roger has served the citizens of Cobb County for over 25 years.  During that time, he was first assigned to precinct 2, the Mableton area, as an officer and Field Training Officer (FTO). It was during this time that he also tried out for the SWAT Team and was brought onboard in February of 2005. This was an additional duty that he juggled with his primary role as a uniform officer and FTO. In 2007 he was assigned to the full-time unit of the SWAT Team known as the TAC Team.  From there he went to the Training Unit where he was tasked with teaching each and every officer in the department, to include academy recruits, firearms skills and handling. In 2015 Roger was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served at Precinct 3, the Cumberland area, for several years. After that, Roger went back to the TAC Team as the Sergeant supervisor. During this time, Roger was diagnosed with a rare form of metastatic bone cancer. He went to MD Anderson in Houston, TX for treatment and beat it! Eventually, Roger got back to work and once cleared, back to full duty. His time as a sergeant afterwards was short-lived due to Roger receiving another promotion to the rank of Lieutenant! Roger went back to uniform patrol and then to property crimes as the commander for those respective units.  Roger currently works as the Homeland Security liaison and is the Assistant Team Commander for the SWAT Team.
He and his wife Moni Nalls, a 33 year veteran nurse, have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. They have always been there for their communities and now we have the opportunity to help them again with their fight.
Lt Nalls and family got an unexpected surprise this Christmas. 5 years from his original diagnosis -Roger began to experiencing extreme pain. He was admitted to the local hospital for two long stays with no complete diagnosis. Their lives went from normal to chaos very quickly. Moni knew he needed to get back to his original doctors and treatment center at MD Anderson in Texas. They are there now and Rogers Dr says the goal is a CURE! They are currently running blood tests and doing bone marrow biopsy to determine the type of leukemia Roger has. The doctor expects Roger to be a patient there for a minimum of one month after treatment is initiated. Many of you donated to help them before to help cover the many expenses that a treatment like this will incur. And now they are facing it all over again. Travel expense, hotel expense, expenses to help cover their costs due to not being able to work temporarily, are just a few hurdles they are facing. If you have the ability to help again- please consider taking some pressure off this family.
