Ross' Wheelchair Van

Hi!  My name is Ross Handley.  I am a 14-year-old boy who lives in Virginia with my family who I love very much.  I was born very prematurely and had a stoke at birth and that was the beginning of my challenges with Cerebral Palsy.  My medical condition means I cannot talk or walk or do most of the things that other kids my age get to enjoy; however, I still love to go to school, and to the movies, and anytime I can go outside is a real blessing because I love the outdoors.  My parents provide me with a loving and caring home and they do everything they can to make sure I am happy and as healthy as I can be.  My mom works very hard and then takes care of me every day and my dad works several jobs to make sure that my sister and I have the things we need.  The thing they cannot afford, and really need help with, is a van that can accommodate my wheel chair.  Right now we have to use a service to get me places and we have had some pretty bad experiences with that.  What I am hoping is to raise enough money to buy a used van so that my parents can take me places and know that I will be safe when traveling in my wheelchair.
