Rosie's Dream

Donation protected
Rosie has a dream. She wants to make things better for others. Rosie has dedicated her life to assisting others, to fundraising for her church and to volunteering.

In July of 2016, Rosie was diagnosed with liver disease. Rosie is taking her treatment like a champ. But Rosie sees a need and she wants to fill it. Rosie needs to have excess fluid drained from her abdomen every week. She travels 30 kms to McMaster Health Sciences Centre and heads straight to the imaging department for an ultrasound. The technician marks the best spot for her hepatologist to be able to find and drain the fluid.

If the hepatic clinic had it's own portable ultrasound machine, Rosie and others would be able to skip the imaging department and head straight to the hepatic clinic to have the fluid drained. This would make life easier for both the patients and for the specialists by simplifying the process.

Rosie's dream is to raise enough funds to be able to donate to the hepatic clinic for them to purchase a portable ultrasound machine so that patients could have a better experience at the clinic and spend less time in the hospital.

The goal for Rosie to be able to assist the clinic to purchase their own portable ultrasound machine is $12,000.

Rosie has given selflessly to others all of her life. Now Rosie needs your help to make her dream come true for others.

Rosie's daughter, Anita, will be made the beneficiary to the funds that have been donated so that she and her brother and sister can get the cheque to the hepatic clinic together with Rosie and Pat. Anita will post an update as soon as the presentation is made to the hepatic clinic.
