Rosewood CURE: ALS & Glioblastoma Fundraiser
Donation protected
A message from Sev from Rosewood:
It's likely that we all know someone who's been affected by cancer, or terminal illness, and the stress, uncertainty, and grief that comes along with these diagnoses. I'm no stranger to these feelings.
A little over 10 years ago, I lost my uncle to ALS, a terminal, neurodegenerative illness that affects muscle function in the body. For myself, I was too young to fully grasp the gravity of the situation, and just how impactful of an event it was. But I didn't know my family's misfortunes were only just beginning.
Several years later, my father was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. After a long battle and extensive treatment, he ultimately passed away as well. This year marks the sixth year of his passing.
I've long felt powerless in my ability to affect any kind of change, but now that I have a small platform to use, I finally felt empowered enough to try and do something. So I started planning this stream.
Rosewood: CURE is raising funds to donate to the ALS Association, and the Glioblastoma Foundation, in order to help research cures and treatments for these diseases, and help prevent others from having to experience what myself and so many more have experienced. Donations will be pooled here, and split evenly between the two organizations. A sincere thank you to all who choose to donate. Your support means the world, and it will be put to good use.
