Rosado Family and Neighbours Fundraising for ETA

hello everyone, my name is alejandra gomez and i’m in seriously need of your help. I’m originally from La Lima, Honduras but currently live in Saskatchewan Canada. as many of you know or didn’t know until now, there has been a category 4 hurricane (ETA) that hit Nicaragua on thuesday november 3rd with tropical rainstorms and massive floods making central america remaining on high alert. causing already poor countries to go into a worse state.  however Nicaragua and Honduras have been the most effected. thousands of people losing their homes, furniture, food, animals and loved ones due to floods, heavy streams and landslides in mountainous areas. on top of that Honduras is also dealing with COVID-19 and lack of resources given by the government. this hurricane did not make it any easier for the people and what they have been dealing with in past months. some people are still stranded on their roofs with no water, food or shelter. our people work very hard for the things they have and now they have lost everything due to nasty waters cofor days. many people remain missing even with the waters decreasing and can’t get in contact with others since the power is out in the majority of the north and will slowly be back to normal. my grandparents are in a building 4 floors high stranded with neighbours, including children, elderly and pets. they are receiving food and water from some small donations given out by rescuers. they had to leave their home and belongings behind which have been completely destroyed. our neighbours, our city and our country is in serious need of help for any donations, food, clothing, water and shelter. Honduras is already a poor country struggling with a corrupt government, poverty, climate crisis, pollution, and much more. i’m asking for any donations to help my family and neighbours who have lost majority of the stuff they have worked hard for, with water, food, toiletries, clothing and any other items that are available for my people. anything will help at this time. im aware that the world is hurting and everyone is dealing with something, however Honduras is a country that has always struggled due to the lack of government support in the country. this horrible disaster will take months to recover and get back up to their feet. we stand with honduras and our neighbours that have been affected greatly in these hurting moments. we will appreciate and be very graceful for your help. every dollar counts. these donations will be going into my mothers account where she will withdraw and take personally to honduras as soon as the airports allow international flights to fly into the airport in San Pedro Sula. everything will be updated with proof and evidence that the donations were made to help pay for their furniture, electronics, bedding, clothing, repairs and cleaning of houses, food and toiletries. sincerely,  alejandra gomez
