As many are already aware, our girl Rooth is going through a rough time. Her pup Marge hurt her back last week which has caused the discs in her back to swell and push on her spinal chord. This unfortunately has affected the movement in her back legs.
Rooth has since taken Marge to the vet several times to find out what needs to be done and has already been set back $1700 just for a CT scan ! The results of the scan show that Marge will need surgery (which will most likely set her back another $7000). Although Rooth has pet insurance, it's uncertain whether she will be refunded any of this amount. At the very least, she will be out of pocket $2500. If Marge doesn't have this operation, she will lose the ability to run, chase balls, and do her business without help. Extremely heartbreaking.
Rooth is always the first person to help anyone in need. She is constantly looking out for others and has a heart of pure gold. For those of us who know her well, we know how bloody much her dogs mean to her but we also know she is far too shy to seek help from anyone. So now is our chance to dig deep and show her how much she means to all of us.
Any amount is helpful, no amount is too little. And if there's any surplus, it will be donated to an animal charity of Rooth's choice.
