Root Canals and Crowns

Miss Jeanette developed a toothache the weekend of September 23rd, 2018.  She was in a lot of pain but thought that it would subside as it had in the past. The next weekend at our church retreat she was in even more pain.  Tears would gently roll down her cheek every so often.  Everyone could see that she was in tremendous pain.  She suffered in silence, not knowing where to go and not having any financial resources to pay for treatment.  A dear friend called her dentist who was miraculously open that day, a Saturday,  and scheduled an appointment for that morning.

Jeanette, who neither drives nor has a car, was driven to the appointment feeling every bump on the highway during the hour-long drive.  She had not been to a dentist in over 10 years.  The dental office did an initial exam and immediately numbed the right side of her mouth to ease the pain.  She had two teeth that were grossly infected and needed immediate attention.  The dentist did a procedure to cut her gums and release as much of the infection as possible.  Jeanette was given pain medicine and two antibiotics to fight the infection.  Infections as severe as these are known to kill people.  Thankfully, she received treatment in time.

The treatment required is two root canals and two crowns.  The total cost of these next steps is $5600.   Jeanette needs to get the root canals in the next month and the crowns immediately after. 

Financial donations are needed so the next appointment can be scheduled. Each root canal is $1200 ($2400 total) and the cost of each crown is $1600 ($3200 total).  Once enough money is raised to begin the root canal(s) the appointment will be scheduled.  Initial treatment and consultation fees were $680.
