Roosevelt's Recovery

Our friend and co-worker, Roosevelt Smith, needs your help.  On Monday, October 2nd, an impaired driver hit Roosevelt's truck and another vehicle. Roosevelt was severely injured, suffering  a fractured pelvis, hip, and leg, and internal injuries. The person in the other vehicle subsequently died of her injuries. The impaired driver fled the scene and has not been found.
     
     Roosevelt has since undergone three surgeries with no further procedures anticipated. He is currently in Intensive Care on a ventilator, and is expected to be weaned from it soon.

     Roosevelt has worked at our hospital for almost twenty years.  He has a teenaged son. Roosevelt is an upstanding Christian man, recently selected to serve as a deacon in his church. He's a good neighbor, taking care of a neighbor's yard when she was too sick, and continued to do so after her death.

     Roosevelt has a long recovery ahead. His medical expenses are mounting, as are lost wages. We appreciate any donations. Every little bit helps. On behalf of Roosevelt and his family, thank you!
