Ronda's Bucket List

Just wanted to update everyone on the latest with Ronda's cancer battle.
She was approved and began a clinical trial on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd. She is the only person in the world right now who is trying out this new medicine approach. (Contact me for more info if you are interested in learning more about it). Her tremors are considerably worse and the tumorsin her liver have grown (to the size of a cantalope) and have now spread to her lungs. She hasn’t felt well over the past few months since having 2 chemo embolization surgeries in June and July. We are waiting on the results of her DAT scan to find out if her tremors really are Parkinson’s. She has lost 40 pounds since Memorial weekend and has no appetite, some nausea and vomiting, which makes it hard to function. As tumors have been increasing they have caused lots of pain from inflammation.
As a family we have all rallied around and been at her side to help get her through all of this. Our mom has felt defeated over the past few months due to physical pain & fatigue, dissapointing dr visits & scan results that wore her hope down to a thread.
Being diagnosed so suddenly was really hard on everyone, but especially on our mom. There are so many things she wants to do with her kids n grandchildren so she started making a bucket list. Together we have been able to do many local things together as a family but her ultimate dream is to take a family vacation to Northern California to enjoy the sights and memories of Monterey, Pismo Beach & San Francisco - just as we did every year growing up.
With the busyness of life with 4 kids then kids getting older and venturing off on their own to go to college or begin their own married lives and families, it hasn't been possible to enjoy a family vacation in over 15 years.
Here's where you can help make her dream come true. We would love to raise enough money to go on a family vacation in November. We will use the money for hotel, food, and gas, along with going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and enjoying some time in San Francisco & Pismo Beach. We have so many amazing memories growing up vacationing in these places and we would love to make more as a family and share with them spouses and kids.
This trip would help our whole family to get the much needed time together and in all reality, might be the last family trip we take if this clinical trial doesn't work. The doctors gave our mom 6 months to live if meds don't work. Not something we want to think about but is definitely something we are all coming to terms with.
