Ron's journey

He has wonderful family support especially his wife, Donna and son, Wyatt (11) who plays hockey with my son. Below is his wife's update. Just looking to help with anything that comes their way. August 24 Journal entry by Donna Jost — 11 hours ago Goodness, it has been a long couple weeks since the last update.  Ron has connected with Hospice and they have been great.  Wyatt returned on Tuesday nite, and we talked with him then.  As we should have predicted, he knew how sick Ron is and that he was not going to get better - even though Wyatt knew at some level, he absolutely did not want us to put words to it.  I don’t know that I have ever had a more difficult conversation.  Also as we should have known, once things were actually out in the open, Wyatt has been so amazing and perceptive - he really is such a little old man.    Ron’s sister Ruth was here much of this week so that I could do several things with work, and we so appreciate the time and support.  This week, brothers Rick and Randy will be coming.  My sister Brenda, John, and their children were here for awhile today.  Noah & Maddie wrote such nice notes to Ron telling him how much they love him and what they have appreciated about him.  They were both beautiful and sad. Neighbors Danielle, Liz, and their friend Tara have continued to bring dinner 2x/week - I am not sure we have ever eaten so well!  And today, brother-n-law Jeff’s sister Vicki also brought dinner on her way from Prentice to Pardeeville to see her daughter.  Everything has been so delicious - YUM!      Between the meals and outpouring of support, we have been overwhelmed with gratitude - words cannot really express how much we appreciate all of you...thank you.
