Ron Zuberer was a loving man, hard working and faithful to God. On April 24, 2018, Ron was tragically taken from this world and his life with his wife of 24 years, (Mary) Lisa Thompson, when he was shot and killed at the age of 49.
Lisa has MS and over the last 4 years it has progressed and she has limited mobility. Ron was Lisa's primary caregiver and now she will struggle to move forward on her own. We have opened the Go Fund Me account to raise money to help support. Because she no longer has my brother Ron in her life she must move to assisted living. Ron worked hard and took care of Lisa with complete devotion. When the dust settles, Lisa will need financial assistance to get through the move and other expenses not covered by insurance. I'm asking that you please, please help us help Lisa by donating to the Ron Zuberer Benefit Memorial Fund. Among the immediate items we are hoping to provide include a new bed that will be equipped to help her pull herself in and out; and a new scooter that is smaller than a wheelchair to enable her to navigate narrow hallways. She has insurance; but as anyone who has dealt with a physical disability knows, there are costs that go above and beyond deductibles.
Ron was our brother and devoted his heart and his life to Lisa. This is a tragedy that cannot be undone but we can help Lisa move forward so that she can cherish her memories and love of Ron without having to worry about how she can cope with the physical challenges of her MS.
