Roma Vasylevych epitomizes what it means to be a devoted benefactor to her culture, family, and friends. Her grace, sincerity, kindness, and humility have touched and changed the lives of so many.

The Ukrainian community has her to thank for its preservation and expansion within Minneapolis. She has always been more than elated to spread the beauty of our culture, which manifests itself through her volunteering efforts and her own musical talent! Roma has been a prestigious bandurist for most of her life and graces every Ukrainian gathering with wonderful traditional performances.

Most importantly, Roma is a giver. She puts others before herself and makes it her utmost priority to help people. Now, as she faces her battle with cancer, we want to reciprocate that very sense of love and support that she has endowed us with.

This fundraising is managed by friends and supporters of Roma Vasylevych. The campaign was set up by Maria Sheremeta, the tribute was written by Sofiya Hutsal, the coordination of fundraising efforts is handled by Oleksandra Hutsal and Roma's daughter Marta Lev.   I and many of the volunteers have known Roma for over 15 years.  The funds raised through this campaign will go towards covering medical costs and funeral expenses.
