2014 – Son of a Covet written and published by George & Cyndie Beacham. The story is based on a moment in time of George's life.
2015 – Dwight Wilkins who is a movie producer and director from Philadelphia, read the story and suggested that we collaborate to create a movie based on the story, Son of a Covet.
2015 – We formed the LLC, and began fund raising ideas and execution to begin the pre-production process.
2016 - Volunteers join us to create a fund raising movie trailer.
***2016 - Our project was stalled due to the unforeseen and tragic event of the passing of George Beacham.
2017 – Cyndie and Dwight met and decided we should finish what we have started, especially in memory of George. We raised enough money with personal finances, donations, and events to hire cast and crew to shoot the movie.
2018 – Post Production process is ongoing as we continue to raise finishing funds with tremendous help from family and friends. We held an event to show the 'rough cut' of the movie to a audience of 110 people. We received great reviews and encouragement from the attendees.
2019 – We interviewed and found a Sound Designer who has a studio for ADR work that is needed. We are in need of funding to complete this process.
Future plans – We intend to submit the movie to the top film festivals. We intend to pitch the movie to major media companies. We have faith and working to have success, uplifting all involved… cast, crew, supporters of this effort. Fund raising continues as we learn how expensive the process is, from start to finish.
We are so very grateful and appreciate all the help we receive. It is motivating and encouraging us to keep going.
