Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Crash

Donation protected
John Locke, a military veteran from Louisville who dedicated his life to advocating for prisoners of war and those missing in action, died Wednesday on an annual Memorial Day weekend trip to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

He and his wife, Sharon, were on the same motorcycle when they crashed on Interstate 64 in Montgomery County. Sharon Locke is in stable condition at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington after being treated for a broken neck and other serious injuries.

"John and Sharon are, you don't get no better than that," said Jonathan Olson, chairman of the Louisville Chapter of Rolling Thunder, a veterans group.

"John was totally dedicated toward the military," Olson said. "He supported the POW/MIA issues that we are so dedicated to in our association. And Sharon is super, super sweet Christian woman that constantly was going on trips, mission trips."

Right now the Locke family is in shock because of the severity, and suddenness of the accident.  Their son, Dennis Locke, is a co-worker of mine and we've started a company pool to raise money for his family.  What we've raised is something, but not nearly enough to pay for the funeral and medical costs of both his father and mother respectively.  We are asking for any and all donations to help the family out.  If you can't contribute monitarily, we ask you to keep the family in your prayers.
