Rogelio's Funeral Arrangements

Rogelio Acuña, Disabled Navy Veteran, University of Houston Alumni,AP Math & Statestics teacher at Austin High School, a Soccer coach, mentor and friend to many.
My Uncle Rogelio was a Disabled Navy Veteran who was sadly denied Life Insurance which is why I decided to start this GO FUND ME for my Aunt Karina and his 3 kids.
He would spend hours trying to improve his students knowledge by teaching Algebra & AP Stats. Not only because it was his job, but because he genuinely loved teaching. His caring and selfless character spread through the Austin High School soccer team hearts taking them all the way to playoffs on his first
year as coach.
He was the perfect mentor, role model to not only students, but to his fellow educators, nieces and nephews. Rogelio was a Navy veteran scoring higher than 99% of the candidates in the Yeoman Exam and setting Navy records among several other recognitions . So many of us were blessed to see the positive impact he had on so many young lives and also colleagues at school.
Rogelio inspired many single parent raised students to keep moving forward with their education. He opened doors to teens who didn't even believe they had a chance to graduate high school or college in their future. Many students thank him stating, "Coach never gave up on me." "Coach" was closest thing they had to a father . On May 31st, 2017, Acuña suddenly passed away leaving his wife Karina Acuña and three children , Ben (9 yrs old), Noah (7 yrs old), Vivian (1) , and many other friend and family members heart broken. The family is praying that everyone would find it in their hearts to contribute a donation and spread the word. The donations will be used to cover any funeral expenses and aid during this difficult time. We would like to thank you in advance for your contributions big or small. God Bless,
