Roe Family Support

We are summoning your love and support for my sister's family as their world was rocked to the core when they found out about my brother-in-law, Byron's, large brain skull tumor. A long (8-10+ hours) and invasive out-of-state surgery at Duke is needed to remove as much as the tumor as possible and understand if it's cancer or not.  They are remaining positive and hopeful and we are hoping to ease the load by assisting with their travel, lodging and medical expenses expected over the next few months.  Byron, Wendy and Shelby are traveling and spending the next month and a half here in NC for the pre-op, surgery and recovery.  It's unknown at this point if an additional 1-2 months will be needed elsewhere for proton beam radiation (not available in NC or Oregon).  They will both be taking time off work, and Shelby will be attending online school for 1st grade.  To start this campaign out, our goal is $10,000. These funds will be used for out-of-pocket medical costs (which will be a minimum of $6000 now and more at the beginning of the year potentially), as well as travel and lodging expenses to NC and offset any unexpected expenses.  The Roe Family graciously accepts and appreciates any form of donation to help them through this life-changing event. Your donation will enable Byron, Wendy and Shelby to deal with all of the stresses of this diagnosis and treatment with less financial strain and to show our love for them during this time.
