Rodolfo Ocampo Fundraiser

Mr. Rodolfo Ocampo was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer on June 5th, 2018. That devastating news has become the family's greatest challenge since that day to date. Mr. Ocampo and his whole family have been fighting this deadly disease altogether, holding on to the slightest hope for recovery.  He has undergone every possible medical treatment necessary just to prolong his life but unfortunately yesterday, another devastating news was delivered to the family. Mr. Ocampo's attending physician finally decided to stop all the treatments he was undergoing as they were already ineffective due to the severity of the disease. His organs have shut down. The only thing the doctors could do was to make him as comfortable and pain-free as possible until his last breath. The family agreed not to prolong his agony anymore and so all treatments were stopped right after the family meeting yesterday afternoon at the University Hospital, San Antonio.
Today at 6pm, Mr. Ocampo peacefully passed away.  Now the family has another challenge to face.  Not only his passing but considering all other aspects most importantly financial such as the funeral and graveside services. The family is humbly knocking on your kind hearts to grant them financial assistance to cover at least part of the costs they may incur. Mr. Ocampo's daughter, Mary Jane Maldonado, the family's spokesperson, is grateful and hopeful for a positive response from the community. Let us all extend our helping hands for our fellow Filipino American family who is on their toughest time. Every little amount is highly appreciated and of great value.
