Hi everyone, as you have probably heard already, Rod has been recently diagnosed with cancer. The doctors believe he has renal cell carcinoma. Rod has been an inpatient at the VA in Indy since Saturday. His case is very complicated because on top of the new diagnosis of cancer, he has several blood clots in his lungs and a fractured rib. The blood clots are making establishing a treatment plan very difficult. On Friday, 11/16, he will undergo a brain MRI as well as a surgery to attempt to remove the blood clot and biopsy the tumor in his kidney and surrounding blood vessels. We need lots of prayers all day Friday that this surgery goes as planned. There are a lot of what-ifs in his future, and we need him to focus on getting better and the long road ahead of him, not on his finances. Now is the time to rally around Rod and lift him up!! He is a disabled Veteren and needs your help.
