Rodney Balderas

Hi, my name is Mary and I’m raising money to help with the cost of an unexpected funeral and services for one of my dearest friends, Rodney. He passed away on April 23, 2023 doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle with friends.

For those that didn’t get to meet him, I am sorry you never got that chance. He was truly one of a kind. He was selfless, giving, and thought of everyone before himself. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, and worked hard to overcome some of the resulting effects. He shared his story with anyone that he felt could benefit from it, and encouraged others to seek help as well.

His three daughters were the loves of his life. He talked about them constantly and was the absolute proudest father. He did everything in his power to make sure those girls knew that for him, they were his world.

I knew him for 25 years, and he was the friend that everyone thought was their best friend. This is because Rodney cared. He picked up the phone no matter the time, he listened, and he cared. I’d love to help the family and show his girls what an impact he had on so many lives around him.

If you were Rodney’s friend, please know I am so sorry for your loss. I know that he would love to know that his friends and family got together to laugh and cry and remember him.

I am raising this money to on behalf of Rodney’s sister Valerie Gonzales, who has become a great friend during this sad time. This money will be transferred to the family to help pay for the costs of a service and burial for Rodney.
