This is well beyond our comfort zone, to say the least....
We have been repeatedly reminded that this is a time to accept any type of help possible. We realize that, for our busy parent friends and long-distance support squad, this may be the easiest way to support in addition to all the love, warm thoughts, prayers already being sent our way.
Please, by NO means would we want Anyone to feel Any obligation to contribute in this way!!! Again, we are exponentially grateful to anyone and everyone who simply takes the time to read our posts and send love our way with simple thoughts and prayers- the most powerful anti-cancer agent of all!
If you are inclined to contribute in this way, this will help to pay for the greatly increasing financial demands of summer childcare. We hadn't anticipated this since I'm a teacher on summer vacation.
Furthermore, these contributions will support us as we enter into my short-term (and potentially long term) disability with reduced income and greatly increasing medical expenses.
These funds will also help us to maintain a sense of "normalcy," for the kids, especially. This is all confusing and uncertain to them (and, pretty much everyone). The more we can keep our usual sport and activity schedules for them, the more secure and reassured they are likely to feel in this time of uncertainty.
