Rochesta! Injustices by the Rochester Police Dept.

Rochester, NY has undergone a series of events that surround injustice specifically Brown and Black people. We plan to document the voices of the people who are protesting against the system.  Four officers put a spit bag over a naked Daniel Prude, a Black man 41, having a mental health breakdown in the freezing streets of Rochester, NY .  We will explore the story the law makers, the victims families like the 10 year old indigenous girl who was handcuffed and the nine year old Black girl who was pepper sprayed by City of Rochester Police Department.   We intend to interview people in the community and get their thoughts of what change looks like for Rochester.  Keeping the truth of people alive and allowing the families and concerned citizens to have their voices heard is our goal.  We hope to inspire change and have laws changed that will prevent situations like this from happening  all over America to Black and Brown people.
