Rob's Recovery Fund

Hi my name is Robert Wicks I’m 44 years old and I have 4 children. 3 don’t live at home but one does. I have been self employed in  the construction industry for 29 years. I’ve never had any coverage of any kind all these years. I really couldn’t afford it, the costs are so high . On the 29th of November I was on a roof fixing a tarp  when the worst thing that could happen happened-  I fell.


I fell 25 feet to the ground where I broke both my tibia and the fibula just above the ankle the doctors called it a spiral fracture. They rebuilt my leg with two rods a bunch of plates and a handful of screws. The surgeon said it was one of the worst brakes he had ever seen . I will walk with a limp for the rest of my life but I will walk again .

I am bed bound for the next three months if the healing goes the way they hope . Without any coverage I am left broke and will have to live off the charity of family and others . My family are doing everything they can like getting me the things I need help washing me and just the everyday things we all take for granted but the financial burden is too much  so this is why I started this gofundme page to try and offset the cost of caring for me.

The cost of my recovery will be high with feeding me to getting to my appointments and all the other costs that will come with my recovery it's only been a couple of days and we can already feel how bad it’s going to get if I don’t get some kind of financial help .

Any money that I receive will go directly to the cost of living and to the cost of my recovery .
