Rob's Stroke Recovery

Hi all,

As many of you know, my dad, Rob Collins, suffered a rare stroke three years ago which left him disabled. Among other things, the stroke severely impaired his ability to walk, talk, and eat—functions he has not been able to fully regain. Over the past few years, my dad has undergone numerous procedures, therapies, and treatments in an attempt to find some relief and recovery. Recently, he began a new intensive therapy to enhance the stem cell transfers he has been receiving. We are excited for this opportunity and hopeful that the treatments he undergoes will bring him some recovery and progress as he battles symptoms from this devastating stroke. In particular, we are hoping these treatments will help him recuperate his ability to walk and talk, restore his balance, and find lasting pain relief.

This Go Fund Me is intended to help alleviate the ongoing medical expenses that my parents face. As you can imagine, my dad’s medical treatments are very expensive and rarely covered by insurance, but are necessary attempts at helping him restore a quality of life. Donations will help support his current and future medical costs as well as the purchase of medical devices which he will use at home to supplement his ongoing treatments. We are immensely grateful for any support you are able to offer, whether it be financial or through continued prayer and encouragement.

I cannot overstate how appreciative I am for everyone who has supported my family in the years since my dad’s stroke. Your kind words, visits, and prayers are incredibly meaningful, and as a daughter, it is a privilege to see how loved my dad is by so many people in our community. My parents are the most resilient people I know and have shown nothing but abundant strength when facing the hardships brought about by this stroke.
