The Robotics Club at University of Central Florida (UCF) is a registered student organization consisting of approximately 40 members pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in STEM related fields. The purpose of the club is to foster an environment to learn robotics hands-on while building robots for various international competitions hosted by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI).

In previous years, members of the Robotics Club at UCF have participated in the RoboBoat competition, as well as AUVSI’s RoboSub competition, and the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition. Several journal papers have been written and published as part of the competition tasks.

This year, the club has an ambitious three competitions they plan on participating in. The cost of registration is rather high at $750 per competition, plus the cost of travel, with RoboSub in particular happening on the other coast of the United States in San Diego.

The experience of working hands-on building a competitive robot is priceless. By donating any amount, you are helping enrich the educational experiences of budding engineers and scientists. Any funds donated will go first towards registering the competition robots and then towards the cost of travel for RoboSub, RoboBoat, and IARC.
