Robin's Marathon for Take a Hike

As some of you know for the past few months I've been training for my first full marathon which will take place in Victoria, BC on October the 8th.
It's a 42.2km run around one of the most beautiful cities in Canada and I'm hoping to run it in under 3hrs 30mins.
Many of you have asked if I am raising money for a charity so I've put this page together in an effort to raise some funds for the Take a Hike Foundation This is a fantastic local organzation that I am personally involved with.
Their mission statement is simply to enable at-risk youth to positively change their lives.
Take a Hike is a full-time alternative education program that engages at-risk youth through a unique combination of adventure-based learning, academics, therapy, and community involvement.
Not every student fits into the mainstream school system. Students in the Take a Hike program often struggle with issues that have inhibited their success such as drug and alcohol addiction, physical and mental abuse, criminal activity, low self-esteem, depression, and/or trauma.
Any money you can spare will have a direct impact on the lives of these students and will also give me that extra motivation to push through what I'm sure will be a challenging run.
