Robin's Road to Remission

On October 8th our mom, Robin Comer, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Her Road to Remission started 2 days later on October 10th. The treatment for her is intense. She will be in the hospital for a minimum of 1 month, getting infusion chemo around the clock for the first 7 days. The doctors will watch her closely then complete her 2nd bone marrow biopsy at the 2 week mark to see if she has entered remission.  That is only step one...we are still waiting on more results to see where we go from here.

Our mom is a school bus driver and while in treatment she will not be able to work... she is already missing the kiddos on her route like crazy.  Full treatment will be a minimum of 6 months. 

Part of recovery, like anything, is to reduce stress and think about nothing other than fighting this disease.  This is where we, her daughters, are asking for our family and friends to show our mom support.  Words of encouragement and prayers are always welcome.  If you are able to make a donation towards her medical expenses, as well as living expenses, we promise 100% of your donation will go towards helping our mom.
