Robert's Christmas Fire Recovery

UPDATE:  Becuase of the fantastic support from all of you generous folks, I have bumped up the target in the hopes that we can cover the entire deductible and really show our love!  Thanks so much!

Story:
A friend and co-worker recently bought a house and moved his family to Kimball Nebraska to be close to his father.  Last night they had a terrible fire in their home.  Everyone including pets are safe but there is a tremendous amount of fire, water and smoke damage.  

They spent all of their savings to buy the place and while they do have insurance, the $5000 deductible will be very difficult to come up with especially at this time of year.  I am hoping that I can get my amazing friends, family and co-workers to kick in a little bit to help out an outstanding man make a nice Christmas for his family.

I would like to raise $4500 to cover the deductible.
 That would be amazing!  

I don't know how fast the money needs to be in the hand's of the insurance company but I will find out.
