Hello.
As many of you know dancing is one of my passions. My number one priority in life is raising my kids the best I can so they grow up to be not only compassionate but also emotionally and psychologically strong and suitable for this unforgivingly cruel-beautiful world.
As many of you know, I'm a full-time single dad of three. Danny is 14. Shekinah is 12 and Emmanuel is 9. The kids mother passed away four years ago.
Caring for these little humans full-time has been the most challenging, rewarding, and very often frustrating things I have done.
I grew up in a dysfunctional single mother household. I give myself a lot of credit for the courage I have developed to make sure my kids and I stay together. This is one of few promises I've ever made and I intend to keep my word. Because of cultural assimilation, I have completely lost contact with my family and don't have any here in WA. I also develop friendships very slowly and that is why I don't have a support system that I'm consciously aware of. I have heard that some people care and want to help me. This is why I'm creating this page.
I feel shame about asking for help from people I know...
We have recently come under very stressful times. My car was repossessed by the bank in January. A second car (which was a fixer-uper someone gifted to me) got stolen along with all of the tools I owned. A bit after that I dropped my phone and in the same week got a disconnection notice from the electrical company. To make the story more exciting, I developed an abscessed tooth that now needs a root canal. All of these issues have completely affected my ability to stay focused on massage school, which I'm very passionate about completing, and learning well. I believe massage school is an important stepping stone in my journey and would like to continue it. I should be graduating in December.
Right now the bills I have are: $927 for electric bill. $325 for water and trash bills. I suspect the root canal bill is going to range from $1000 to $1,500. I'm looking into the option of taking a trip to Mexico to hopefully spend less money on that. I also have to fix the car which was found and needs a new alternator $200-300 fix. $2,225 is about the total it will take to get me back on my feet. I will prioritize getting my tooth fixed and paying the electric bill.
As I said, I'm in massage school and would love the opportunity to give back to those who contribute. Of course as a student I cannot yet charge or receive any form of payment for my services. As a way for me to give back, I will pull a random selection of names from those who contribute to this account and will reward those selected with the gift of a free massage.
