On June 16th Robbie and I were married, after 8 years, and three beautiful little boys, we celebrated the happiest day of our lives. Two weeks later on July 1st, Robbie was hit head on by a drunk driver at 45 MPH, totaling our vehicle, and causing injuries to Robbie, injuries we didn't expect to be recovering from 2 months later.
Robbie suffered from a severe concussion, which has since been diagnosed as Post Concussion syndrome, he has lost the ability to properly hold a conversation without forgetting what he is taking about, he often stumbles over his words, and at times cannot even think of words, he has cervical spine damage, which has in turn resulted in nerve damage to his right arm/shoulder/neck area, and he has only 20% mobility on the right side of his body. He wakes up and goes to bed with a headache, and pain in his neck and back so severe, that he cannot eat or even sleep, and he is now experiencing severe depression because of the pain. He cannot play with his children, he can't throw a football, he can't hold his 17month old son, he can't do anything that he loves without pain..every day.
Robbie is the main provider for our family, and since the accident he hasn't been able to work, and Doctors believe he could be out for months to come, as the recovery period could take up to a year! My family has helped more than we could have ever asked...but reaching out to them just isn't an option anymore.
We are in a financial crisis. We are at risk of losing our home, bills are stacking up with no way of paying them, and we need help.
