Robbie McFarlane-A Cappella Academy 2022

 

 

Hi! My name is Robbie McFarlane. I would like to take a moment to tell you about one of the most eye-opening and educational experiences of my teenage life, known as A Cappella Academy.

 

Two years ago, February of 2020, I had received the absolutely world-shaking news that I had been accepted into A Cappella Academy, a 10 day professional summer camp set right in the heart of L.A. I would be participating with Grammy award winning arrangers and directors, interacting with some of the best of the best in the industry, and hone my talents in an environment filled to the brim with some of the most kind and hard-working peers. The pandemic cut all of this short.

 

After reformatting the program to a digital experience, of which I had the privilege to participate in for two years, I can now with tremendous joy say that I have been accepted into my third session which is now IN-PERSON!

 

The digital experience made me the person I am today. My goal of becoming a professional musician and performer is no longer a pipe dream, but a concrete standard for my adult life that I have set, all thanks to the nurturing staff, invigorating curriculum, and collaborative environment at A Capella Academy. I can't even begin to imagine what the in-person experience must be like.

 

The total amount of 2500$ would cover instruction, supervision, room and board, miscellaneous expenses, educational materials, gratuities, and transportation costs.
