Rob, Jody, Shelby, and Austin Smith have lost their home and belongings to the Carr wildfire in Redding, CA.
Rob has been an elementary school teacher, and is transitioning into a new career helping students acquire loans for higher education. Jody is preparing to teach the 4th grade this fall. Austin and Shelby are accomplished students and budding musicians on the French horn and the coronet.
They consider themselves blessed every day, and even in this time of great adversity they are holding onto their faith and each other to see them through.
It is through hardship that we often come together with greater love and support for one another than ever before.
Theirs is a devastating loss, and insurance will not cover their expenses during this challenging process. They would benefit most from monetary donations to help with replacement of clothing, school supplies, household goods, and transportation. The family vehicles were also lost to the fire.
Any amount you can afford is a welcome gift. We are setting a goal of $20,000 to help with their immediate needs.
