HELPING A HERO
# VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER
Many have forgotten the night 5½ years ago the lives of one VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER family changed.(Rob, his wife, Lisa and their 4 boys ages 8, 12, 16 and 23 at the time). On 3/3/2014 Rob was trapped as an engulfed house collapsed. Rob has had many surgeries including skin grafts and artificial ankle, knee, shoulder and many redos of previous surgery. Even suffered with a gangrene infection. And obviously severe PTSD. He beat the odds 2 yrs after the accident and actually returned to work and TO VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTING! Unfortunately he was still in debilitating pain. Now he needs a knee replacement after 3 failed surgeries. If that doesn't work or the specialists don't think it will help we may be looking at an above the knee amputation. Rob has done so much for so many people even after the accident. Though he still had a lot of pain he continued hosting many cornhole tournaments for others in need for their benefits.
His knee surgery in April was supposed to be the last one. (#10) But things got worse. He was supposed to be able to go back to work in 6 weeks. Now... After 6 months we have no idea. For those of you who planning to attend or have made donations to his benefit thank you!
