Road to the Commonwealth Powerlifting Champs. 2019

Hi,
For those of you who don't know me my name is Toby and I am from Northern Ireland. I am doing a MSc so I am a student and work as a personal trainer. In my spare time I train for and compete in the sport of powerlifting.
Despite having only competed in my first powerlifting competition in January 2018 and competing in two other competitions that year, I have been selected to represent my country at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in Canada in September 2019.
I genuinely can't believe that I have been selected to represent my country and compete at my first international/major competition especially after being so new to the sport.
Unfortunately, not many people realise that due to the nature of the sport, there is little to no funding so the entire trip is self funded. This means that I have to fund my own travel as well as accomodation and food while over there.
Anything that you can give, no matter how big or how small, will help me in getting to Canada so that I can compete in the sport I love.
