Road to Tanzania

My name is Julia Tarsitano. I am a first-year teacher candidate with York University's Faculty of Education, studying at the Catholic Education Centre [TCDSB]. On April 15th 2019, I will be traveling to Tanzania, Africa in partnership with the ‘MEtoWE leadership program’. This trip will offer me as well as my fellow teacher candidates a unique and distinguishing once in a lifetime experience to learn, teach, volunteer, and give back to a community of people in Africa.

On this trip, I will spend the vast majority of time teaching at local schools, building classrooms, and helping in other concrete ways to improve the local community, while having the opportunity to interact intensively with the local people. This trip will comprise a very powerful educational paradigm.

I need your help to fundraise this trip – money donated will go towards housing, food, supplies used for schools being built, water for the community, and other necessities for myself and the people of Tanzania.
